Rams Trade Jalen Ramsey to Dolphins, Bills Have New AFC East Rival

The Los Angeles Rams have agreed to a trade with the Miami Dolphins that will send star cornerback Jalen Ramsey to South Beach, which suddenly make him rivals with the Buffalo Bills in the AFC East.

The Buffalo Bills now have another star to worry about in the AFC East.

Per multiple reports Sunday, the Los Angeles Rams have agreed to a trade with the Miami Dolphins that will send star cornerback Jalen Ramsey to South Beach.

The Rams will send Ramsey to Miami in exchange for a 2023 third-round pick and tight end Hunter Long, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport had previously reported that Miami was Ramsey's "preferred destination."

Ramsey has even admitted himself that a trade centered around him couldn't be ruled out this offseason.

Set to make a base salary of $17 million next year per Spotrac, rumors have swirled of Ramsey potentially being on the chopping block due to LA's need for cap room. He's been catching glimpses of all the recent gossip surrounding his uncertain future with the Rams.

"100% chance I WON'T get cut … God bless tho," Ramsey tweeted in February. "This misinformation people run with is hilarious."

However, in the now-deleted tweet, Ramsey was brutally honest when addressing the likelihood of him being traded.

"I can PROMISE you, I won’t get cut… now trade? Maybe lol," Ramsey tweeted.

Miami's defense now seemingly gets a major boost by adding a six-time Pro Bowler. This past season, Ramsey started all 17 games and finished with four interceptions for the second straight season. He also had two forced fumbles, a fumble recovery and recorded his first-career sack before finishing the season with two of them.
