Bills Brothers? 'He's an Enemy!' Says James Cook of Dalvin

Buffalo Bills running back James Cook could be joined by his older brother this season or face off against him as a division rival.

Buffalo Bills running back James Cook made it clear earlier this offseason that it's "obvious" he'll be the No. 1 option out of the backfield once Week 1 rolls around. However, the potential signing of his older brother and Pro Bowl running back, Dalvin, makes that far from a guarantee.

But regardless of where Dalvin signs - which he's said will likely be in the AFC East - the two will be competing just as siblings do, though this will be taken to a different level if he lands anywhere in the division besides Buffalo.

"He's an enemy, but he's my brother," James said Thursday at Bills training camp. "It's just life, you know? If we play each other we play each other."

Dalvin, who was cut by the Minnesota Vikings this offseason after six years with the team, is reportedly set to visit the New York Jets this weekend. Should a signing happen, this could pin the two siblings against one another right off the bat this season when the Bills travel to MetLife Stadium in Week 1 to take on Aaron Rodgers and the Jets.

But Dalvin also recently said that signing with the Bills remains a possibility, though he doesn't want to step on his brother's shoes.

"(The Bills) are down a back, so it's not out of the picture for me to go play there with 'em," Cook said on The Rich Eisen Show.

" ... That would be exciting for me and my family, it would," Cook said. "I want my brother to go tear the league up, which he is, and prepare for it," Cook said. "And I don't want to be the one in his way of stopping him from doing that. That was the whole thing."

Division enemies or teammates? With the preseason quickly approaching, the Cook brothers will soon find out what to call each other next, aside from siblings of course.
