'Answer The Bell!': Buffalo Bills RB James Cook Looks To Keep Hot Streak Going

Buffalo Bills running back James Cook is coming into his own as the team's feature back.

Buffalo Bills running back James Cook has a simple mantra he always tries to adhere to: "answer the bell."

"It's been a lot of ups and downs during the whole season. But I try to stay steady and whenever my name and my opportunity presents itself, I try to answer the bell," Cook told reporters.

Lately, the second-year running back out of Georgia has been answering the bell plenty. In his last four games, Cook has rushed for 283 yards while averaging over five yards per carry. During that same time frame, he's also been a threat in the receiving game with 16 receptions for 180 yards and two touchdowns, including the opening score in Sunday's huge road win over the Kansas City Chiefs.

With his recent climb in production, Cook, who's in his first season as Buffalo's feature back, is just looking to keep the train rolling.

"The more you produce, the more the ball is going to find you so I just try to keep producing and making plays for my team," Cook said.

Keeping that momentum will be a challenge with another key game coming up against the Dallas Cowboys, who boast a ferocious defense that just shut down the Philadelphia Eagles' high-powered attack. Ahead of Sunday's game at Highmark Stadium, Cook gave a brief scouting report for his latest obstacle.

"They come off the ball, they fire off the ball, they're very good players and you just have to be ready to go," Cook said.

Cook has become a huge part of the Bills' offense recently, and in order to beat one of the league's best teams on Sunday, they'll need him to be at the top of his game once again.
