WATCH: Bills QB Josh Allen Scores Go-Ahead Touchdown in First Half vs. Chiefs

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen did it all in the first half, hurting the Kansas City Chiefs on the ground and through the air. His final play of the first half gave Buffalo the lead.

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen just can’t stop flexing on opposing defenses.

Less than a week after dismantling the Pittsburgh Steelers with a 52-yard rushing touchdown, he returned to Orchard Park with a similar modus operandi.

Playing host to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Divisional Round, Allen returned to the ground. His first score of the game was a leftward scramble to give Buffalo a 10-3 lead.

After the Chiefs answered back with two scores in the second quarter, going up 13-10, it was Allen’s turn once again. He closed off the half with his second rushing touchdown of the game, a quarterback draw from Kansas City’s two-yard line.

Take a look:

Allen’s second touchdown of the game came after a string of improbable plays from the Bills offense. Allen completed a circus-like pass as he approached the line of scrimmage and followed that up with an 18-yard scramble. After a contested catch by Khalil Shakir, Buffalo was able to lean on Allen’s size to put them ahead. He did just that.

The score was his 50th total touchdown of the season.

Allen ran eight times in the first half, scoring the Bills’ only two touchdowns and generating 51 yards. Through the air, he’s been just as dangerous. Allen completed 14 of 19 passes for 111 yards. Most importantly, he kept Buffalo ahead of the sticks and out of the hands of Kansas City defenders.

Bills QB Josh Allen Close to Making Playoff History

Allen’s size regularly impacts games, but when he is this much of a boost to the ground game, the offense is nearly unstoppable. Continuing to bulldoze opponents while keeping the ball safe could be the difference and send the Bills to the AFC Championship game.
