Buffalo Bills LB Matt Milano Injury 'Not Looking Good'

Buffalo Bills star linebacker Matt Milano had to be carted off in Sunday's 25-20 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in London.

The Buffalo Bills star linebacker Matt Milano could be out for an extended period of time after suffering an injury in the first quarter of Sunday's 25-20 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in London.

Per Bills coach Sean McDermott, Milano suffered a knee injury and "it's not looking good."

"Injury update for you, Matt Milano, it's a knee, lower leg injury," McDermott said. "I know it's not looking good right now, but I don't know any details beyond that at this point."

Milano, who agreed to a two-year extension through the 2026 season during the offseason, entered Week 5 having posted 27 total tackles, one forced fumble and two interceptions this season. He exited Sunday's loss with three solo tackles, but was eventually carted off from the sideline with a black cast around his leg.

"I just heard the news about Matt, and it's tough," Bills safety Jordan Poyer said. "You know, the sleeves are gonna move on to the next man up."

Milano was a fifth-round pick by the Bills in 2017, but has exceeded those expectations significantly. One of the primary faces of a talented Buffalo defense, he'll look to begin recovery once an injury timeline is potentially announced.

In his undefined absence, the Bills will rely on linebacker Terrel Bernard, who has been sensational to begin the season.

Buffalo hosts the New York Giants on Sunday Night Football in Week 6. Without Milano, the Bills will look to begin a new winning streak after putting together three straight wins headed into Sunday's loss to Jacksonville.
