Bills Ex Mitch Morse To Visit Steelers in Free Agency: Report
Former Buffalo Bills center Mitch Morse, one of the victims of the team's roster purge earlier in the week, is quickly getting a start on finding a new home.
According to Joe Rutter of Trib Live, Morse is set to visit with the Pittsburgh Steelers before free agency begins on Wednesday. Due to the Bills releasing Morse, he is free to sign with other teams right away and does not have to wait for the start of the new league year.
Morse, 31, was a staple of the Bills' offensive line during his five seasons in Buffalo, starting all 77 games he appeared in. He was also a Pro Bowl selection in 2022, a testament to his consistency.
Before joining the Bills, Morse spent the first four seasons of his career with the Kansas City Chiefs, the team that selected him in the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft. He started 49 games during his time with the Chiefs.
The Steelers are indeed in the market for a center, as they released 2023 starter Mason Cole earlier this week. If they were to sign Morse, he would be a nice upgrade at the position while also adding some veteran leadership.
