Bills Two-Round Mock Draft: Buffalo Selects Bijan Robinson Again, Adds to Defense

Once again, the Buffalo Bills are projected to select Texas Longhorns running back Bijan Robinson in an NFL mock draft.

The Buffalo Bills address both sides of the ball in the latest two-round mock draft from CBS Sports.

And with that, the hype continues, particularly for the first pick.

No. 27 - Bijan Robinson, RB, Texas

A reoccurring theme throughout mock season continues, as the Bills are projected to select Robinson once again in this scenario. The pairing has been one that makes sense from all angles. The Bills haven't had a 1,000-yard rusher since LeSean McCoy in 2017, but have the offense capable of producing one.

Luckily, Robinson's talents would make him the guy in most middling backfields, which includes Buffalo's. His power, speed, quickness and pass-catching ability could ignite the Bills offense even further while taking the load off Josh Allen's shoulder that everyone keeps talking about.

Considering how often Robinson is projected to Buffalo in major mock drafts, it'd almost be a surprise at this point if the Bills didn't land him.

No. 59 - Trenton Simpson, LB, Clemson

With the potential departure of Tremaine Edmunds in free agency, the Bills need someone else to step in alongside linebacker Matt Milano on defense.

Enter Simpson, who spent three years with a championship-winning program at Clemson. He enters the draft having come off a 12.5-sack career with the Tigers, making him an interesting selection in the second round.

Despite having a career-worst 2.5 sacks last season after totaling six in his sophomore year, Simpson flashed ability in pass coverage with three passes defended this past season. This past season, even while on an elite Clemson defense that featured a number of 2023 prospects, he led the team with two forced fumbles.
