Bills Draft Elite TE in NFL Mock: Dawson Knox Complement?
On paper there aren't many flaws to this Buffalo Bills team, especially on offense. After all, when you have quarterback Josh Allen and receiver Stefon Diggs, you're better off than a lot of teams.
However, you can never have too many weapons, which is why CBS Sports has the Bills drafting Oregon State tight end Luke Musgrave with their first-round pick.
No. 27 - Buffalo Bills - TE Luke Musgrave (Oregon State)
He missed most of '22 with an injury but he's well built, long, and has the athleticism to consistently separate from both safeties and linebackers. His blocking is a work in progress but he'll be a contributor in the passing game from Day 1.
Despite his numbers not jumping off of the stat sheet, Musgrave could make for an interesting option for the Bills. In his four years at Oregon State, Musgrave only recorded 633 receiving yards and two touchdowns on 47 receptions.
Meanwhile, Bills' tight end Dawson Knox was one of Allen's favorite targets.
Knox recorded 48 receptions for 517 yards and six touchdowns. His 48 receptions tied Gabe Davis for second on the Bills while his 517 receiving yards and six touchdowns were both third behind Diggs and Davis.
In a passing attack that averaged 242.9 yards per game, the Bills could be the perfect place for Musgrave to flourish as a pass-catcher in the NFL.
Pairing him with Knox would make for one of the best tight-end duos in the league - and potentially further open up the Bills offense.
