Bills vs. Jets Betting Odds: Week 1 Clash With Aaron Rodgers a Toss-Up?

The Buffalo Bills will get the honor of facing off with the New York Jets and new starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers at MetLife Stadium under the lights of Monday Night Football on Sept. 11 to begin the season for both teams.

When taking a look at the Week 1 schedule for the 2023 season, there's endless reasons to be excited.

With a clean slate in the standings, every game at the start of the year means something and brings some new anticipations. Additionally, fresh starts for star players in their new threads tends to get the juices flowing, which is why the NFL saved one of the most notable team debuts in recent memory for last during the league's opening week of action.

The Buffalo Bills will get the honor or facing off with the New York Jets and new starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers at MetLife Stadium under the lights of Monday Night Football on Sept. 11 to begin the season for both teams.

And according to SI Sportsbook, the contest is expected to come down to the wire.

Here's what the betting odds are currently set at:

Spread: Bills -1

Over/Under: 47

Money Line: Buffalo -118, New York +100

Per SI's betting odds, this spread marks the smallest projected scoring margin for any of the Week 1 games, which will only provide another reason to add to the potential monstrous ratings for ESPN.

The anticipation of Rodgers facing off with quarterback Josh Allen and Buffalo will only continue to build throughout the rest of the offseason, but luckily fans won't have to wait long before their first meeting in what should be a thrilling division rivalry over the next few seasons.

Unlike previous years, an additional Monday Night game in Week 1 won't be played this season. The league has made it a new tradition to have a Monday Night double-header to open the season, but for now, the Bills and Jets have the spotlight.

The Bills will then host the Jets at Orchard Park in Week 11 on Sunday, Nov. 19 at 4:25 p.m. ET.
