Bills vs. Jets WATCH: New York Wins On Xavier Gipson Punt Return
Week 1 wraps up with a divisional showdown between the Buffalo Bills and New York Jets on Monday night at MetLife Stadium.
The Jets will get their first look at Aaron Rodgers under center after acquiring the future hall of famer from the Green Bay Packers this offseason. With Rodgers has come sky-high expectations for a team that may have been a quarterback away from being in the playoffs last season.
If New York is going to live up to those expectations, they'll have to go through the Bills and Josh Allen, who have won the AFC East in each of the last three seasons. Buffalo has largely flown under the radar but remains the class of the AFC East.
The Bills and Jets split their two meetings last season. Allen was sacked five times and hit eight times in the first meeting when Buffalo was upset by New York 20-17 at MetLife Stadium. The Bills rebounded by sacking Mike White four times in the second meeting en route to a 20-12 win.
Von Miller is on the PUP and won't play for at least the first four games. Damar Hamlin and Kaiir Elam are also inactive for Buffalo. Defensive end Carl Lawson is also inactive for the Jets as he's progressing from a back injury.
In a crowded AFC, the winner will get a much-needed leg up.
