Ex Bills LB Darron Lee Arrested on Assault Charges

The former Buffalo Bills linebacker is accused of heinous actions towards his mother, and the mother of his child.

Former NFL linebacker Darron Lee -- who spent part of the 2020 season with the Buffalo Bills -- was arrested Monday after the mother of his child accused him of domestic violence aimed both at her and his own mother.

TMZ Sports obtained the court documents that outline the accusations that Lindsey McGlone -- the mother of Lee's two-year-old son -- made towards the former Bill regarding her and his mother, Candice Lee:

"McGlone claimed she was downstairs in the kitchen when she heard Candice yelling at the top of the stairs. She said when she ran up, she saw Candice "lying on her back with Mr. Lee overtop of her with a raised fist."

"In the docs, cops say Candice told them she had shown up to the residence after McGlone told her she wasn't feeling safe around Darron. According to cops, Candice said she went upstairs, found Darron lying on the floor of a bedroom, and told him he needed to leave.

"That's when she claims the former football player snapped, began yelling at her, and then grabbed her by her shirt and pushed her into a wall twice. Candice said Darron then threw her to the ground and punched her in the face and the back of her head repeatedly. She claimed Darron also pulled her hair. She said it was all broken up when McGlone ran upstairs and pulled Darron off of her."

Lee's mother needed to be taken to the hospital to treat swelling on her left cheek and head pain, TMZ went on to note

A former star at Ohio State, Lee currently resides in Dublin, Ohio. According to publicly available records, Lee plead not guilty to misdemeanor charges of assault and domestic violence Tuesday morning.

Lee is now out on bond, but a temporary protection order has been issued, seemingly barring him from seeing his mother or the mother of his child, who went on to say that this isn't the first domestic incident between her and Lee.

Additionally, as part of his bond, Lee will be subject to pre-trial supervision, isn't allowed to make further threats of violence and is not able to possess firearms/weapons or ammo.

The New York Jets selected Lee with the No. 20 overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, but he lasted just three years in the organization before being traded to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Lee won a Super Bowl title with the Chiefs in 2019 and played in two games for the Bills in 2020, but was never able to get his career back on track. He spent the summer of 2021 in the Las Vegas Raiders' organization, but was ultimately waved with an injury settlement before playing in a game for the team.
