Former Bills RB Nyheim Hines Signs With Browns in NFL Free Agency: Details
The Buffalo Bills released running back Nyheim Hines last week following an odd injury saga, but the veteran is now set to land back on his feet while remaining in the AFC.
Per reports Tuesday from ESPN's Adam Schefter, Hines is signing a deal with the Cleveland Browns. He's still recovering from a torn ACL that he suffered last offseason while skiing.
"Former Bills RB Nyheim Hines is signing a one-year deal worth up to $3.5 million with the Browns, per sources," Schefter tweeted.
The highlight of Hines' time in Buffalo and arguably the most memorable moment so far in his NFL career came during a Week 18 win over the New England Patriots to close out the 2022 regular season. In what marked the first game back for the Bills after the Damar Hamlin incident, Hines took back the opening kickoff for a touchdown before doing it a second time in the third quarter as Buffalo won 35-23.

In nine career games with the Bills, Hines posted six carries for -3 yards but had five catches for 53 yards and a touchdown. He totaled 19 kickoff returns for 554 yards and the aforementioned touchdowns.
