Bills 'Pointing Up' Despite Playoff Loss vs. Chiefs, Says Josh Allen

Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills are still one of the NFL's best teams despite losing to the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Buffalo Bills offseason has begun following a disheartening 27-24 loss at home on Sunday to the Kansas City Chiefs, marking six playoff defeats in seven seasons.

Despite the loss, the Bills remain as one of the AFC's top teams, and looking ahead to next season, Buffalo should be in the contender conversation. Quarterback Josh Allen is very aware of that.

"All signs are still pointing up with this team. I know it feels bleak. And there's probably going to be a lot of change," Allen said via ESPN.com. "That's nothing that I know, nor can I focus on, to be honest. I just got to continue to keep working hard and bringing the guys that are here along and keep trying to mesh everybody together."

Josh Allen Shoulder Surgery? Bills Injury Decision

From what Allen said, he is right. At 27, he's still in the prime of his career, and his play alone is putting the Bills where they are. He's been the backbone behind the team's success, and as long as he does well ... so do the Bills.

While he's yet to get the monkey off his back that is the Chiefs and that elusive conference championship, the Bills can do nothing except get back up and try again next year, because they've got a shot at becoming the team that takes a step forward in 2024.
