Bills QB Josh Allen Brutally Honest After Win vs. Patriots: 'We Lucked Out!'
The Buffalo Bills won their fourth straight game with a 27-21 victory over the New England Patriots on Sunday, but it didn't come without some hiccups along the way.
Most notably, quarterback Josh Allen had a very shaky performance through the air, completing just 15 of 30 passes for 169 yards with an interception. Additionally, it took him until the second half to really get going, and the first quarter was especially rough.
Allen finished with two touchdowns on the ground, but he knows that he has to be better through the air going forward.
“That was one of the longest quarters I’ve ever been a part of,” Allen told reporters after the game. “Three possessions down there in the first quarter and we only scored one touchdown. That’s not good enough on our end. We got to be better prepared to go and get six and seven there. We lucked out. Our defense played a heck of a game and we got to just try to find a way to win.”
Despite their 4-12 record, the Patriots' defense is still one of the stingier units in the league, and the Bills have found that out in both games this season. Even with Buffalo's more-balanced offense under new coordinator Joe Brady, New England's defense still caused problems.
With the season winding down, the Bills are facing a potential do-or-die game against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, and there won't be as much margin for error in that game or in the playoffs.

“I obviously would love to have a home game in the playoffs,” Allen said. “Would love to get in the playoffs, so that’s first and foremost. [We’re] just doing whatever we can do to give ourselves a chance of getting in.”
