Bills WATCH: TE Quintin Morris Makes Nice TD Grab vs. Bears
The Buffalo Bills' starters made their way to the bench after some solid play in the first half of Saturday's preseason finale against the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field.
This allowed backups like tight end Quintin Morris to get an opportunity, as he got open for a touchdown in the second quarter. He extended for the catch on the right side of the end zone to build Buffalo's lead to 14-3. The 29-yard grab was all Morris need to lead the Bills in receiving in the first half.
Take a look:
Last season, Morris' best game came against the Pittsburgh Steelers in a 38-3 win in October. He posted three catches for 39 yards.
Morris is in a talented tight end room that features Dawson Knox and Dalton Kincaid, but he's not worried about being a starter.Â
"Everybody wants to be a starter, but I'm [just] looking forward to fulfilling whatever role it is the team has for me," Morris said Thursday. "If that's strictly special teams, I'm here for it."
"'Unselfish' and 'family' — just a couple of words that guys in our room use to describe our tight end position."
In 14 career games, Morris has eight catches for 84 yards and one touchdown. He's also forced one fumble and has a fumble recovery.
