Buffalo Bills Reveal Focus After Loss vs. New England Patriots

The Buffalo Bills still have their eyes on the prize after their loss against the New England Patriots.

The Buffalo Bills are picking up the pieces following another disappointing loss on Sunday, this time at the hands of the New England Patriots, 29-25.

Including Week 1's loss to the New York Jets, the Bills have now lost two winnable division games late in the fourth quarter, and the team sits at 4-3 in the AFC East standings despite some dominant wins over the Miami Dolphins, Las Vegas Raiders and Washington Commanders. However, life moves on.

This week in particular, life moves on a little quicker as the Bills play again on Thursday night when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers come to town.

"All we're doing is focusing on getting the corrections from this game and then focusing on our next game on Thursday night," tight end Dawson Knox said via the team's website. "So it's not trying to project where we're going to land, seeding for the playoffs or the division, no one's doing that. We're just going to focus on today, tomorrow and then this next game coming up."

It's still early in the season with 10 games to go, and the Bills could easily have racked up another win or two if some small corrections were made. Buffalo appears to remain calm despite the noise.

"This is a very long season," defensive back Jordan Poyer said. "4-3, maybe not where we wanted to be at the beginning of the year but we have a short week this week. The games are gonna keep coming, no reason to sulk in this one and turn one loss into two. … Tomorrow, we're onto Tampa Bay."

The Buccaneers and Bills are set to kick off at 8:15 p.m. on Thursday at Highmark Stadium.
