Buffalo Bills WR Stefon Diggs Sets NFL Record vs. New England Patriots
Buffalo Bills receiver Stefon Diggs has struggled to meet his elite expectations late this season, but he's still breaking records as the playoffs potentially approach for Buffalo.
In Sunday's 27-21 win over the New England Patriots at Highmark Stadium, Diggs became the youngest player in NFL history to record 800 career catches. While these kind of numbers haven't won the Bills any Super Bowl rings yet, it's certainly a remarkable achievment considering the decorated and talented receivers that have come before Diggs.
The Bills PR account on X officially announced the record:
"Stefon Diggs surpassed 800 career receptions yesterday, becoming the youngest player (30 years, 32 days) in NFL history to do so."

This season, Diggs has posted 100 catches for 1,096 yards and eight touchdowns. However, this is on pace to be the lowest yardages total he's had in the regular season during his four seasons in Buffalo.
Diggs hasn't topped 100 receiving yards in a game since Buffalo's 14-9 win over the New York Giants in Week 6. On Sunday against New England, he had just four catches for 26 yards.
"You can't let your number one receiver go the way he has the last two games," Bills coach Sean McDermott said Sunday.
“It's frustrating,” Diggs said prior to Week 15's win over the Dallas Cowboys. “I gotta do a lot of things to get open, and then a lot of things gotta go right to get the ball, so for me when it doesn't happen, of course, I'm frustrated. Y'all know how much of a competitor I am. I like to play at a high level and I always want it to happen. And even if it doesn't when it doesn't materialize, I definitely get a little discouraged at a moment, but then I shake gotta shake back because I know my team still needs me.”
The Bills will need Diggs to be at his best ahead of Sunday's AFC East Championship Game against the Miami Dolphins at Hard Rock Stadium.
