Buffalo Bills WR Stefon Diggs 'Hopes It's Not Goodbye' Amid Trade Rumors

Buffalo Bills receiver Stefon Diggs is reaffirming his commitment to the team but is simultaneously giving Bills Mafia some increased concern about what the future holds.

Diggs made an appearance on Up & Adams with Kay Adams Thursday and delivered some more interesting quotes that will certainly raise some eyebrows. He said he wants to retire a Bill but that "business is business."

“I gotta keep it in the forefront of my brain that business is business,” Diggs said. “I like to proceed as such, no matter what.”

He even went as far to say he "hopes it's not goodbye." For Bills fans, hearing their superstar receiver say this isn't exactly comforting,

“I’m not saying goodbye. I hope it’s not goodbye,” Diggs said. “Like I said, I’m prepared whichever way it goes. When you hear a lot of rumors and such it’s like, ‘Where did it come from?’ You know what I’m saying? Where there’s smoke, there’s fire, usually. I try not to pay too much attention to it. That’s why I said I’ll just be where my feet are.”

Diggs, 30, didn't play up to his star-studded standard this season. After posting five 100-yard receiving games in the first six weeks, he didn't top 90 receiving yards in any games during the final 13 contests of the season (including playoffs).

If Bills general manager Brandon Beane sees this lengthy slump as a long-term concern, he could look to get the most out of Diggs' value before it's too late.

A move like this would qualify as "business is business," something Diggs will likely continue to remind himself of during what fixes to be an interesting offseason.
