Buffalo Bills defensive end Von Miller hosted his annual Sack Summit in Las Vegas, NV, this weekend, bringing together some of the most vaunted pass rushers from across the NFL to work with, compete against, and learn from one another. This year’s event, again co-hosted by New Orleans Saints pass rusher Cameron Jordan and Las Vegas Raiders All-Pro Maxx Crosby, took place at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas’ Fertitta Football Complex and was attended by several marquee players, including several of Miller’s Buffalo teammates.

Bills defensive linemen Greg Rousseau, A.J. Epenesa, DaQuan Jones, and Kingsley Jonathan were in attendance alongside rookies DeWayne Carter and David Ugwoegbu. Rousseau and Epenesa are mainstays at the summit and have attended each year since Miller signed with the Bills. Jones also attended the event last summer

According to KSNV News 3 Las Vegas reporter Jesse Merrick, over 45 NFL pass rushers attended this year’s event. Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee Warren Sapp was also present as a guest coach.

The annual event serves as a physical representation of the phrase “iron sharpens iron;” bringing some of the best pass rushers in the NFL together in one location allows them to compete against one another and exchange information and advice, something that should benefit all parties involved entering the new campaign.

It’s also encouraging, from Buffalo’s perspective, to see Miller taking part in this year’s Sack Summit with seemingly no limitations. The NFL’s active-all-time sack leader is coming off an incredibly underwhelming injury-impacted campaign in which he notched just three total tackles and zero sacks; the 35-year-old recently told Sports Illustrated that he “shouldn’t have even been playing” last year and that he’s “angry” at how national perception regarding his ability has shifted. He’s eager to again prove himself as one of the NFL’s premier pass rushers in the 2024 season, with Bills head coach Sean McDermott recently stating that Miller “has something to prove.
