Buffalo Bills vs. Miami Dolphins Preview: Week 4’s Marquee Matchup

The Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills face off in a Week 4 AFC East battle.

The Buffalo Bills welcome AFC East division foe Miami Dolphins to Highmark Stadium on Sunday in an exciting matchup featuring strength vs. strength: The Bills smothering defense against a potent Miami offense

Miami is the last undefeated team standing in the AFC Conference while Buffalo looks to defend its division title. History says this matchup will be close: the three games between the Bills and Dolphins last season were decided by a total of eight points.

In week 3, Miami became the first team to score 70 points in a single game since 1966. The Dolphins cruised to a 70-20 win over the Denver Broncos and head coach Sean Payton. Running back Raheem Mostert scored four touchdowns while quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and receiver Tyreek Hill showed no signs of slowing down.

The Bills are fresh off a Week 3 meeting with the Washington Commanders that saw Buffalo post nine sacks and four interceptions performance in a 37-3 win. The victory was highlighted by linebacker Terrell Bernard, who finished with two sacks, an interception, and a recovered fumble. He won AFC Defensive Player of the Week as a result.

Quarterback Josh Allen has led the Bills to 75 points over the last two weeks. In week 3, Stefon Diggs finished with an impressive eight catches and 111 yards

“It’s easy to play the game when your defense comes up for you like that and puts you in really good situations,” Allen said after the win.

Buffalo looks to keep the momentum going at home, where it has gone 10-1 in its last 11 regular-season games.

THE FINAL WORD:

"It gets shorter and shorter or smaller and smaller, that window, right? And in particular, when you got a team that put up 70 points, I don't think I've seen that in my NFL career the entire time. So they're very explosive," McDermott told reporters.
