The Buffalo Bills have a long list of players looking for revenge in 2024. Sending seemingly half of the defense to free agency while saying goodbye to receiver Gabe Davis, center Mitch Morse, and others on the other side of the ball has left a long list of departees.

The list of players circling the Bills may not be limited to this offseason’s casualties.

Buffalo traded running back Zack Moss to the Indianapolis Colts on Nov. 1, 2022. He’s yet to face the Bills, and it’s something he took note off after electing free agency in 2024.

On “Up and Adams,” Moss spoke about keeping an eye on Buffalo.

“Yeah I definitely looked if I was gonna be playing the Bills. Obviously in free agency, when I was going through teams I knew Indy plays Buffalo this upcoming season at home if I’m not mistaken,” Moss said. “But even last year, in the preseason when I was injured they went to Buffalo to play which would have been my first game back in Buffalo. So obviously I haven’t played them or even been back in the stadium since I left.”

Moss secured a two-year, $8 million deal with the Cincinnati Bengals, attempting to fill the shoes of Joe Mixon. For the first time in his career, he’s being entrusted with the starting job, rather than acting as relief or a lesser part of a rotation.

Simply put, he’s earned it. While expendable during his time with Buffalo, Moss had the best year of his career. He ran for 794 yards and five scores, while also adding 192 yards and two touchdowns through the air.

Now with the Bengals, he is primed to return to the playoffs for the first time since 2021 with the Bills. He was inactive for the team’s Divisional Round loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

“We don’t play them this season but they are definitely a playoff team, great talent over there, and we are a playoff team as well in Cincy. So the odds look like we’ll probably cross paths at some point.”

Kay Adams offered to say the words “revenge game” for him, to which Moss laughed before elaborating on his competitiveness.

“I’m a competitor, I don’t turn down no opponent,” Moss said. “That’s just how I was raised and things like that. So I’ll be looking forward to playing whoever it is each and every week – this league is full of great talent.”

Bills Mafia would certainly accept the opportunity to play against Moss, given the playoff implications that matchup will behold. With James Cook having taken the mantle at running back, it seems things have worked out for both parties.
