DeAndre Hopkins 'Monkeying Around' with Bills Free Agency Signing?

We will know soon enough whether Buffalo is willing to pick up the check on a new contract for Hopkins, who is seemingly wishing for a multi-year deal worth more than $20 million APY.

Former Arizona Cardinals star DeAndre Hopkins has on occasion dropped hints about his willingness to sign with the Buffalo Bills, and according to Sports Illustrated‘s Albert Breer, the Bills are one of only two teams “to have substantive trade talks with Arizona before his release.

Word is that the Bills actually spoke not only to the Cardinals, but directly to Hopkins as well. And now Hopkins is "speaking'' ... kind of.

The star receiver shared his first tweet since officially becoming a free agent, typing out a trio of emojis representing the "Three Wise Monkeys'' symbolizing "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil.''

As is a common habit with major sports figures, Hopkins’ tweet was cryptic, and is sending NFL fans (and media) into a frenzied effort to try to decipher the meaning behind his message.

Does it have anything to do with ESPN having said the Bills look to have the inside track on his services, the network's Jeremy Fowler recently saying, "When you talk to other NFL teams, they think the Bills are a threat here and have been for awhile.” Does it have anything to do with Hopkins’ recent interview with I Am ATHLETE in which his first answer when asked which quarterback “he’d love” to play with was none other than Josh Allen.

Or ... does the social media post have anything to do with football at all? It could be about a musical taste or a grocery list or a dry-cleaning bill ... with Hopkins just "monkeying around.''

And speaking of "bills,'' we will know soon enough whether Buffalo is willing to pick up the check on a new contract for Hopkins, who is seemingly wishing for a multi-year deal worth more than $20 million APY.
