When it comes to producing touchdowns, no one in NFL history has done it at a higher frequency than Buffalo Bills' quarterback Josh Allen.

Not only has no one other than Allen accounted for 40+ total touchdowns in four consecutive seasons, the dynamic dual threat has totaled more TDs than any player ever over the first six years of a career.

In 2023, he scored rushing touchdowns at the rate of an elite running back. Allen reached the end zone 15 times on the ground, one TD shy of the single-season franchise record set by Hall-of-Fame running back OJ Simpson.

Responsible for four touchdowns in the Bills' 34-28 win in Week 1, Allen now has 225 total TDs under his belt. The breakdown is as follows — 169 career TD passes, 55 TD rushes and one TD reception.

In the season opener against the Arizona Cardinals, Allen rushed for two scores and passed for two more. It was his fourth career game with 2+ TD passes and 2+ TD rushes. Moving past Cam Newton, Allen matched the all-time NFL record set by Hall-of-Fame field general Steve Young.

Whether he does it on Thursday Night Football against the Miami Dolphins or later this season, the next time Allen registers at least two touchdowns passing and two rushing in the same game, he'll be the sole NFL record holder.

Over 95 games, the NFL MVP candidate averages 2.37 touchdowns per outing.
