Bills WR Khalil Shakir Scores Miraculous Touchdown vs. Steelers: 'How Is This Real?'
Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen’s third touchdown of the game – a 52-yard touchdown run – would have been the uncontested play of the game in most contests. Allen’s fourth score, a strike to receiver Khalil Shakir, gave it a run for his money.
Buffalo’s offense rolled on against the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Wild Card Round, putting up 21 points in the first half and adding multiple scores after the break.
Shakir’s score was legitimately one of the most impressive plays of his young career. With 6:37 remaining in the fourth quarter, Buffalo once again marched into the Pittsburgh red zone. On second-and-9, Allen took to the air, quickly hitting Shakir on a drag, well short of the line to gain.
He then shook off a tackle from Steelers safety Minkah Fitzpatrick – one of the best defensive players in the sport – maintained his balance while turning around, and evaded the rest of the Pittsburgh defense to scamper into the end zone.
The Bills might've said it best on social media: "How is this real?!"
The score would put the Bills up 31-17 and seemed to put the game away, given the lackluster Steelers offense. Highmark Stadium erupted, chucking snow into the air like they had with each score. The scene resembled New Year’s Eve, with fireworks of snow being thrust above Bills Mafia.

His teammates began to hoist him onto their shoulders in celebration, Shakir all but sent the Bills to the Divisional Round, and everybody knew it.
The catch was Shakir’s third of the night – for 31 total yards – and was more evidence of the late-season emergence of the young receiver in the Buffalo offense. Expect him to make plays with the ball in his hands next week against the Kansas City Chiefs.
