Miami Dolphins at Buffalo Bills: Tua Tagovailoa is MVP, Claims Tyreek Hill

It's the Miami Dolphins at the Buffalo Bills, and Tua Tagovailoa is the MVP, Claims Tyreek Hill - And Who's Arguing?

The Buffalo Bills have a reputation for offense, and it's deserved. But the Miami Dolphins have the best offense in the NFL, and to Pro Bowl wide receiver Tyreek Hill, that means Tua Tagovailoa should be the so-far MVP of this NFL season.

"The way Tua is playing right now, it's definitely MVP level,'' said Hill as the Dolphins prep for a Week 4 visit to Buffalo with first place in the AFC East on the line. "Being on the sidelines just watching the fans chanting M-V-P gave me chills in my body."

Wait a minute ... Why was Tyreek "on the sideline'' in Week 3? Oh yeah. Because the Dolphins scored 70 points on the Denver Broncos last week, the most in franchise history and second most in league history.

And yes, obviously, one major reason is quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. Tagovailoa has completed 71 percent of his passes this season for 1,024 yards and eight touchdowns with just two interceptions. So yes, If Tagovailoa continues at this level of play throughout the season? A 4 to 1 touchdown-to-interception ratio and a record-setting attack that has Bills coach Sean McDermott openly concerned about all the challenges here?

That's MVP stuff, and even has the rivalry between the 2-1 Bills and the 3-0 Dolphins heats up into one of the best in football, Buffalo doesn't have much argument for it.

"We understand this is a team that's playing well," Bills QB Josh Allen - himself a likely MVP candidate - said. "They're coming into our house, (we have) the implications of what happened last year in the playoffs, so they want to right their wrong, too. We've got to be prepared for their best punch."

The teams squared off three times last year, including a matchup in the AFC Wild Card Round. Miami won the first meeting 21-19 on Sept. 25 as the Bills and Allen ran out of time on a potential game-winning drive at Hard Rock Stadium. Buffalo returned the favor on its home field, winning 32-29 on a game-winning 25-yard field goal in the snow from Tyler Bass on Dec. 17.

In their playoff matchup at Highmark Stadium, the Bills came back in the second half and hung on late to win 34-31. But even last year, those Miami scoring numbers are notable ... made more notable now - with the QB right in the middle of it all.

"I tip my hat to (Dolphins) coach (Mike) McDaniel,'' Tyreek said. "He's been doing a terrific job, man with Tua.''
