Dolphins ‘Expected’ to Be Without Raheem Mostert, Jaylen Waddle vs. Bills

The Miami Dolphins continue to battle injuries ahead of Week 18’s pivotal battle against the Buffalo Bills.

The Buffalo Bills could be catching a huge break ahead of a must-win game against the Miami Dolphins in the AFC East championship on Sunday night at Hard Rock Stadium.

Per NFL Network’s Tom Peliserro, the Dolphins are expected to be without starting running back Raheem Mostert and receiver Jaylen Waddle due to injuries. 

Here’s Peliserro’s report via X:

“Dolphins RB Raheem Mostert (knee/ankle) and WR Jaylen Waddle (ankle) — both listed as questionable — are not expected to play Sunday night vs. the Bills, per me and @RapSheet. Both should be ready for the playoffs. But Miami will try to win the AFC East without them.”

Mostert and Waddle have been just two of many elite contributors on Miami’s explosive offense this season. Mostert leads the league with 18 rushing touchdowns while Waddle has already posted the third straight 1,000-yard season to begin his NFL career.

Not having to deal with weapons like this will certainly be something coach Sean McDermott and Co. won’t complain about. While the Dolphins have already secured a playoff berth, the Bills’ season could end up being No. 2 seed and AFC East champ or a complete playoff miss. At this stage, the Bills will take every break they can get. Arriving to this pivotal point in the season with high hopes ahead is something many in Bills Mafia likely didn’t see coming after that brutal 24-22 loss to the Denver Broncos in Week 10.
