Neck-and-Neck: Josh Allen Reveals Injury Promise for Buffalo Bills at Miami Dolphins 'AFC East Title Game'

Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott said on Wednesday that quarterback Josh Allen is still dealing with some neck soreness from that stinger he suffered on Sunday in the win over the New England Patriots.

But as a Week 18 showdown with the Dolphins in Miami looms for Sunday, Allen is making a promise - and the injury report is backing him up.

Will any neck-related issue impact Allen's availability or his performance?

"No, not at all,'' Allen said. "Good to go!''

And indeed, Allen was listed as a full participant on Buffalo's first injury report of the week - though he is mentioned as dealing with neck and right finger injuries as the Bills conducted a walkthrough on Wednesday.

What is at stake in Week 18? In the most simple terms ... The winner wins the AFC East. There are other ramifications here, but that is the big prize for a Bills team that keyed by Allen have largely dominated Miami over the course of his career.

Indeed, in his career, Josh Allen is 10-2 against Miami overall.

The Dolphins have injury issues, and that might be a factor here.

Allen completed 15 of 30 passes for 169 yards with an interception and rushed for 44 yards with two TDs in Sunday’s win over the Patriots. Some are making the argument that those numbers won't allow him to beat out Lamar Jackson of the Ravens for the MVP award, a fun argument that has nothing to do with the eyes on the prize.

The Bills have won three straight AFC East titles. Do that again on Sunday night and they also win the No. 2 seed in the conference. That - and the availability of Allen - really is all that matters.
