'Snowballs & Kisses!' Travis Kelce Taunts Bills Mafia After Chiefs Playoff Win: VIDEO
Early on, some Buffalo Bills fans booed pop star Taylor Swift upon spotting her at Sunday's playoff game at Highmark Stadium. At game's end - after her boyfriend Travis Kelce's Kansas City Chiefs toppled the Bills, 27-24, some in Bills Mafia tossed snowballs at Kelce and fellow star Patrick Mahomes.
And in between? As Kansas City is off to the AFC Championship Game, where the Chiefs will face Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens, Kelce retailiated as best he could by taunting Bills fans ... waving and blowing kisses.
Kelce, who scored two touchdowns, actually praised Buffalo and Bills Mafia postgame.
“I got a lot of respect, not only for this team, but this organization, this fan base,” Kelce told Westwood One Sports after the game. “It was an unbelievable environment.''
Kelce blew a kiss to Swift after he scored an early TD. That was nice.
And then, with about a minute left in the game - and with some Bills fans getting ready to toss snowballs at the visiting team - the all-time tight end repeated that gesture for the benefit of bundled-up and heartbroken fans in Western New York. That wasn't mean to be nice.
Mahomes Dodges Bills Mafia Snowballs, Responds With Bold Message
Animosity? Sure, plenty of it. The Chiefs, the defending Super Bowl champs, are heading to the AFC title game for the sixth straight year. The Bills sad history of "almost'' - Buffalo has never won a Super Bowl and hasn't been to one in almost 30 years - is a painful fact.
Does the fact that this game is an "instant classic'' change any of that?
Said Kelce: “It just felt like a Bills-Chiefs game, baby.”
