- Even though his uses his size to seal the catch point, corners will often break the seal with length and physicality.
Overview
Remigio is a slot-only receiver with good explosive playmaking ability. His size will be a detriment for the NFL, but he plays bigger than he is and is quite physical. Unfortunately, he falls short in multiple areas when he tries to play bigger, which he will never be able to overcome fully.
Teams that like to spread it out on offense and try to find someone unafraid to work in the middle of the field should have their eyes on Remigio. Even if he is a gadget-only type of receiver in the NFL, he is worth the shot, especially with what he can offer on special teams as a returner.
Fit with Broncos
The Denver Broncos can use more depth to their receiver room, inside and out. They got exposed there last year when injuries started to pile up. As a result, they lacked a consistent and reliable big-play threat, especially after K.J. Hamler got hurt. Jalen Virgil had some exposure, but it wasn't lasting.
Remigio would add another option to compete for that role while adding another piece to compete for the returner job. It would be hard to have another slot-only receiver unless the Broncos move on from Montrell Washington or Hamler or look at stashing Washington or Remigio on the practice squad. It may not be worth it for the Broncos to use a pick on Remigio, but if he goes undrafted, he could be worth the look.
