Cleveland Browns at Denver Broncos: Who To Start In Fantasy

The Browns and Patriots game didn’t have a ton of fantasy implications, as the rain didn’t make it easy for players to really get going.
That’s with the exception of Tom Brady and James White, who had solid days in terms of fantasy production.
The Cleveland Browns move on and face a much different task Sunday as they will take on the Denver Broncos; a team that is spiraling downward at the moment. This 4:25 matchup should fare better for the Cleveland Browns on the field and in terms of fantasy.
Nick Chubb - Well, Chubb was the best option for Cleveland once again Sunday, a common occurrence. A couple costly fumbles hurt but, made up for it with 131 yards on the ground on 20 attempts. Cleveland knew it would have to run the ball to have a chance, so they did.
The Denver Broncos have had some trouble with some of the better backs around this season. Leonard Fournette, for example. went over 220 yards against the Broncos, absolutely gutting them.
Nick Chubb could be the most complete back the Broncos will face this year, a top three back in terms of production this season. Broncos do offer a stout defense at times, but the Browns should still be able to run the ball.
Expect the Browns to give the ball to their stud running back often, as they normally do. He didn’t find the end zone against the Patriots. He will in Denver.
Odell Beckham Jr - Odell just hasn’t been a perfect fit for Cleveland and it’s offense. There have been glimpses, but that’s about it. A lot of that has to do with how lack luster the offense has been.
Catching five of seven targets for 52 yards is a below average game for the star receiver but, he made the most of his opportunity lined up across from the leagues best defensive back. Jarvis Landry came out saying that his teammate needs the ball more and he isn’t wrong.
The Browns should get Odell the ball more even though he will be matched up with another tough task in Chris Harris Jr. Beckham does a lot more than fantasy can calculate such as cause double-teams and draw attention. However, it isn’t crazy to think that Odell Beckham Jr. goes out and gets his this week.
Courtland Sutton - The rise of Courtland Sutton enabled the Broncos to trade Emmanuel Sanders, playing the final year of his contract. Sutton had a solid rookie year and he’s carried that over to this season, even with mediocre quarterback play. This is a player that should start this week, but could think twice with Brandon Allen starting for the Denver Broncos. A quarterback that has never thrown an NFL pass to come in and have good chemistry with wide outs just doesn’t happen.
The hope will be that Sutton can help him become comfortable and do what he’s done all season, be consistent. Denver’s second year player has scored in the single digits just once this year in fantasy football; in week two.. He's a player that is going to rack up yards, no matter the amount of catches.
Courtland Sutton is projected to score 12.2 this Sunday. A perfect player for your slot, or second wide receiver position.
Phillip Lindsay - Things change a little bit with a new quarterback coming in for the Broncos, which is Brandon Allen. In his first career start it will be a big point of importance to stabilize a running game to help him out. Doing so starts with Phillip Lindsay.
The Patriots had their way with the Browns, specifically through the air. Lindsay isn’t James White. A solid receiver out of the backfield in his own right though, Phillip Lindsay has multiple catches in every game this season, except for one. He will be a factor through the air and on the ground.
Broncos will bring a duo of running backs with Phillip Lindsay and Royce Freeman, Lindsay has the better chance to make the biggest impact against Cleveland. Projected to go for 14.9 points, he’s a safe start in fantasy this weekend.
