Brad Seaton is the biggest man on campus, aims to keep it that way
Some pictures came out of Greg Robinson on social media which showcased how enormously built he is, but he is only the second largest human on the Cleveland Browns. The honor for the biggest currently goes to fellow offensive tackle Brad Seaton.
The 6'9" 330lb former Villanova Wildcat (The idiot in the video wrongly says Vanderbilt) looks like he could double for The Mountain in Game of Thrones, but he spent all of last season on the Browns practice squad.
Entering his third year in the league, his first full camp of the Browns, his size makes him difficult to miss, especially compared to the guy he's playing behind in Chris Hubbard. It's about 6 inches of height and 45 pounds of weight from Seaton to Hubbard. Seaton has the natural length teams drool over with pretty good ballast. Simply getting around him is part of the challenge.
His testing numbers were average coming out of college and the hope is in the past couple years, he's been able to improve his body, enhancing his strength and quickness at the position. He's still only 25 years old, so if he has been able to get better in those areas, he's someone that could surprise and make the final roster and could have some lasting impact.
Compare that to Desmond Harrison, who some insisted on hyping up last year, despite being a 24 year old rookie. Harrison, now with Arizona is a month older than Seaton, who has had an extra year in the NFL and came into the league with an NFL body, where with Harrison, the hope was he'd be able to build one on the fly.
Seaton doesn't exactly fit in with the style of offensive tackle James Campen tends to prefer, but if he can get the job done at that size, Campen may be more than happy to adapt as he's going to do with Greg Robinson. Cody Witzman is the other offensive lineman that stands out due to his size. Everyone else tends to be lighter both in weight and in terms of their agility.
Nevertheless, when it comes to a position like tackle and if they can hold their ground well, they are at least forcing teams to go around, often up the field. And between the interior offensive line that didn't give up much interior pressure and Baker Mayfield, who does a great job stepping up in the pocket, this was an effective way to deal with pressure on the outside.
In the worst case scenario, Seaton should still provide interesting looks for Browns pass rushers dealing with someone of his immense size and length, but he does have some intriguing tools and should be worth watching in training camp to see if he can break through.
