A Look at the Cleveland Browns Rollover Cap Space From 2022

A look at the money the Cleveland Browns will have rolling over to 2023.

With the off-season nearly here in the NFL, cap space is going to play a large part in how teams are going to operate in the 2023 off-season. According to ESPN's Field Yates, the Cleveland Browns will roll over $27.5 million dollars in cap space from 2022.

NFL teams recently declared unused 2022 cap space rollover amounts (below).

After the playoffs, the NFL will audit incentives, bonuses, etc by team. That figure will be added/subtracted to the number below.

There Browns will have this additional cap space with their 2023 number. It will help pay for the extensions Cleveland has set to kick in, as well as help them make off-season signings.

Cleveland operated in 2022 with rolling the money over in mind for this exact reason, and yes, it had everything to do with Deshaun Watson being out 11 games. The Browns didn't sign help at obvious holes simply put.

The option of reworking some contracts to create additional space is going to be there, still, that bill will come due one day. It will help the Browns stay flexible during what they hope is their window.
