Everything continues to come together for the Cleveland Browns as they head into the midst of training camp and the preseason.

Deshaun Watson continues to look more and more comfortable with each day of practice and the defense adapts to new defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz's scheme.

Specifically on offense, it's easy to tell how much Watson trusts tight end Jordan Akins. The two have pre-developed chemistry from their time in Houston and it certainly looks like that connection hasn't taken a step back.

Akins appears to be that safety blanket for Watson throughout camp thus far. Akins, as well as Njoku are going to provide a formidable one-two punch at that position for Watson.

The supporting cast in general is continuing to develop chemistry with Watson, something the Browns knew would take time to come about.

Demetric Felton is continuing to impress following his performance on Thursday night. He's getting opportunities and was specifically glad he was able to show off his abilities in the early portion of camp as he didn't play in the first preseason game last season.

Jerome Ford is a name who's expected to play a relatively vital role in the offense during the 2023 season.

It's significant that Ford is continuing to get work in the return game. Returning was something Ford hadn't done since high school but he appreciates the opportunity to impact the game if it's not on offense.

It's not always easy going for the offense during the hot, long camp days though.

The defense has come prepared each and every day and continues to stand their ground against Watson and the rest of the offense.

The defensive backs have looked good, even without Greg Newsome ll and Thomas Graham as of late.

More importantly, overall it's easy to tell the difference Jim Schwartz has made already on the defense. Forget football, the camaraderie seems different from past years and defensive teammates aren't only cheering when their fellow defenders are making a play. The whole defense is yelling and cheering their guys on.

Schwartz is continuing to emphasize the importance of having passion for the game and even has said in the past that is something he wants to lead the league in.
