Browns Celebrate Playoff-Like Win Over Jaguars

Kevin Stefanski's post-game locker room speeches have become something fans can look forward to after the big team wins and Sunday's, after a victory over Jacksonville, was one of the best to date

Cleveland grinded out a hard-fought, playoff-type win on Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars. With the victory, the Browns moved to 8-5 on the season and put themselves in a great position to make the playoffs.

The game was an up-and-down all afternoon with seven combined turnovers between the two foes and numerous twists and turns. The headline though, was Joe Flacco throwing for 311 yards and three touchdowns. Head coach Kevin Stefanski made sure to recognize Flacco and other key contributors in his postgame speech.

Beyond those Stefanski highlighted, there was David Bell catching a 41-yard touchdown on fourth-and-three. There was Kareem Hunt carrying the ball ten times for a gritty 27 yards and one score. There was Nick Harris coming in for an injured Ethan Pocic and not missing a beat.

On defense it was Ronnie Hickman playing the entire game after Juan Thornhill was scratched, Cam Mitchell returning from injury and playing for an injured Denzel Ward, it was MJ Emerson playing the game of his life matched up against the Jaguars best.

Even special teams did its part as Corey Bojorquez booted a 75-yard punt to flip the field when the Browns were backed up, James Proche playing a clean game in the return game and Dustin Hopkins burying a 55-yard field goal to go up 10 late.

The Browns had contributions from every part of the team and you could see their genuine happiness in their celebration.

What is also visible is the respect that Kevin Stefanski has from this team. The conversation outside of the building every week is whether or not Kevin Stefanski should be coaching this team. However, the job he has done with the sheer number of injuries his team has dealt with is nothing short of spectacular. The players on this team respond to him and you can see it on their faces.

Sunday got the Browns' final month off on the right foot. They have a chance to string together a handful of wins and carry some momentum into the playoffs.

In the words of Kevin Stefanski, Sunday was a great team win.
