Browns Practice Report: Deshaun Watson Continues Rehab, Alex Van Pelt Says Goodbye to Donovan Peoples-Jones

Here's the latest from Berea as the Cleveland Browns continue their preparation for Arizona this weekend.
In this story:

The Cleveland Browns are hard at work this week, trying to get back in the win column against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. The Browns enter the game at 4-3 and are going to play a Cardinals team that (as dumb as this may sound) seems to be playing better than a 1-7 record might normally indicate.

Arizona has been as productive as just about anyone this season at coming up with tackles behind the line of scrimmage. They are going to cause some unique challenges for the Browns offensive line.

Thursday's weather in Cleveland likely mimicked what we are expecting to see on the shores of Lake Erie Sunday afternoon. So while Arizona is practicing in sunny Phoenix this week, the Browns are getting ready in the same elements they're expecting to play in. Sunday's forecast looks dry, but cooler temperatures, cloudy skies and reasonably substantial wind should make Sunday look and feel like a quintessential fall weekend in northeast Ohio.

How might that play into Cleveland's hands as they prepare for a Cardinals team that doesn't have clarity around their starting quarterback either? Time will tell.

As is typically the case, the locker room was open to the media on Thursday afternoon. Deshaun Watson, Amari Cooper, Joel Bitonio and Denzel Ward all spoke at the podium, addressing a variety of topics (especially Deshaun's rehab). Special teams coordinator Bubba Ventrone, offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt and defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz all held their weekly press conferences, too.
