Cardinals Have Higher Interest in Brian Flores, Still an Option for Browns?

Cleveland Browns recently interviewed Brian Flores for the defensive coordinator position. The latest development is that the Arizona Cardinals are going to interview Flores for their open head coaching position, according to Ian Rapoport.

This doesn't eliminate the Browns DC job as an option, but it lessens the likelihood of it. Flores was expected to be back on the head coaching market soon, and perhaps he is still a year early and takes a coordinator job for a year. The Cardinals recently fired Kliff Kingsbury and are just beginning their coaching search.

Cleveland still has Jim Schwartz and Sean Desai as quality options to call the defense. Those are two names they have interviewed or will do so very soon.

Flores remains an option for the Browns but it is cloudy on the reality of it happening with him receiving lead interest.
