Commanders Decide on Starting Quarterback Against Browns
Washington Commanders have decided on the quarterback they're going forward within week 17. Carson Wentz is set to take on the Cleveland Browns at home on Sunday, according to a report.
Wentz played in week 16 after not playing since week six. He came in during the fourth quarter and played well. On the season, Wentz has made six starts. During that time he has thrown 11 touchdowns to six interceptions. Head coach Ron Rivera pointed to Wentz being fully healthy as the reason the switch was made.
Wentz takes over for Taylor Heinicke, who made nine starts for the Commanders this season. In his career, Wentz has a 1-1 record against Cleveland. He's averaging 256 passing yards and a 2-1 touchdown to interception ratio against the Browns.
