The Cleveland Browns took to the practice field today in Berea for their final practice ahead of the season opener on Sunday against the Bengals. With starting cornerback Denzel Ward clearing concussion protocol being the good news, starting safety Juan Thornhill being downgraded to questionable is certainly the bad.

Thornhill popped up on the teams injury report after practice on Wednesday when he was a limited participant. Not being able to practice today is a huge concern relating to his status playing almost 48 hours from now. If Thornhill is unable to go it would mean that veteran safety Rodney McCloud would get the start in his place.

When asked about the timing of the Thornhill's injury after practice, head coach Kevin Stefanski said that he wasn't exactly sure when it occurred but it was something that had been bothering him a bit and they are being extremely cautious with it.

Other positive news surrounding two young edge players is that Alex Wright was a full-go in practice, while Isaiah Thomas who is currently on the practice squad, practiced for the first time today since his knee surgery in early August.

The Bengals look to be pretty healthy as the only player who will miss the game is defensive end Joseph Ossai.
