Greg Newsome Ruled out Second Straight Game With Concussion
Greg Newsome II is going to miss his second straight game this week when the Cleveland Browns take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Newsome did not practice this week as he remains in the concussion protocol. The injury happened in practice in an unfortunate event. The good news for the Browns is that this is the only injury designation for this game, everyone who can play will play.
Cleveland will have Denzel Ward, Martin Emerson Jr., Greedy Williams, and AJ Green out there at the cornerback position. Newsome should return against the Houston Texans next week, the same game that Deshaun Watson returns.
Tampa Bay will deploy a pair of talented and proven receivers in Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, it'll be up to the Browns to stop them from winning on the outside.
Buccaneers lead running back Leonard Fournette is doubtful to play with a hip injury. Vita Vea is questionable to play after returning to practice on Friday. The full injury report can be seen below.
