Greg Newsome's First Interception Gets the Browns Within One

Third-year man Greg Newsome gets his first career interception and it could not have been a bigger one! Browns cut Ravens' lead to one mid-way through the fourth quarter

The Browns and Ravens are playing one of the games of the year. It has seen crazy plays, bad mistakes, good offense, and great defense. Exactly what you were hoping for in an AFC North matchup.

The Browns' defense came onto the field with just under nine minutes to go in the fourth quarter down seven and needing a stop. On first down the Ravens got a couple of yards setting up a second and eight.

Lamar received the snap and looked to his right. He had a couple of guys in the flat and went to pull the trigger for Mark Andrews.

Defensive end Ogbo Okoronkwo bull-rushed the left tackle and got his hands in the air right as Lamar was releasing the football. The ball deflected off of Okoronkwo's hand and took off into the air.

Cornerback Greg Newsome got a great jump on the ball and leaped into the air hauling in his very first career interception. Not only did he complete the turnover, but he had six on his mind.

He hauled in the pass, took it to the near sideline and turned on the jets. He beat all of the Ravens to the edge and was off to the races.

Finishing in the endzone, Newsome's first career interception will be a Pick-6 off of Lamar Jackson in one of the biggest games of the Browns' season.

It wasn't quite enough as Dustin Hopkins came onto the field and hooked the extra point to the left unable to tie the game up.
