Joe Flacco Has Become a Darkhorse To Win NFL Comeback Player Of The Year

Joe Flacco has now played in three games for the Cleveland Browns and in less than a month he has climbed the board and now has the third shortest odds to win NFL's Comeback Player of the Year
In this story:

Joe Flacco got off to a hot start so far in his time in Cleveland. His start has been so good that he has skyrocketed up the charts and now holds the third longest odds to win NFL's Comeback Player of the Year.

His +1200 odds leapfrogged Baker Mayfield's +1400 yet trails Matthew Stafford's +1000 odds and everyone trails Damar Hamlin's -600 odds to win the award.

It is probably a one-horse race at this point for Damar Hamlin but the fact still remains, Joe Flacco is making national waves with his performance in a Browns uniform so far.

In Flacco's three starts in Cleveland, he is completing 57 percent of his passes good for 939 yards, seven touchdowns and five interceptions. He has thrown for over 300 yards in back-to-back games and has provided a spark for this team and this fanbase.

With Flacco at the helm, this Cleveland team believes that the sky is the limit. Amari Cooper met with the media on Thursday and expressed his belief in the former Super Bowl MVP. He said,

“Yeah, no, 100%. I think the best way to probably describe it is he’s like a faith multiplier. When he came in, guys were like a weight lifted off of our shoulders... It’s just his credentials. Super Bowl winner, consistent quarterback, throws a great ball, has a great understanding of the game."

Cooper has been one of the people that have benefitted most from Flacco's return. After Cooper's 104-yard explosion against Chicago, he is 15 yards away from becoming the first Cleveland receiver to ever have back-to-back 1,000-yard season.

Whether that happens or not or whether Flacco wins CBPOY or not is irrelevant. What is important is that he saved Cleveland's season and has this team believing that anything is possible.
