Joe Flacco's Best Advice To The Team Came This Week

Joe Flacco's wisdom and experience has been on full display as the Browns get prepared for the first round of the playoffs. This was his best message to the team
In this story:

This Browns team is a very young and relatively inexperienced group. The majority of them have only been to the playoffs once and have just one win, back in 2020.

There are a handful of guys who have been on teams that have made a run, Juan Thornhill, Duran Harmon, and Joe Flacco have all made it to the Super Bowl and have won.

There are so many little pieces of advice that have been circling this week both privately and publicly. I'm not naive to the fact that I'm sure the closed-door meetings have produced some great playoff advice, but Flacco dropped a line in his media availability that was my favorite. He said,

"Ultimately, the most important thing in playoff games is executing your fundamentals to the highest degree. And I don’t think that necessarily takes experience to do it just takes you staying level-headed and playing within yourself.”

When the lights get brightest, players don't rise to the occasion, they sink to their level of preparation and Flacco echoed that sentiment with his message.

On Saturday, Cleveland doesn't need anyone to be a superhero. They need each individual player to be themselves and to execute their fundamentals at the highest level.

When guys do that, the result is the spectacular. That's when you get the highlight plays and the moments that will live forever.

Joe Flacco has been there and he has done that. He has won on the highest level and he has lost on the highest level. If there is anyone who knows what best to do, it's Joe and he is going to lead this team into the playoffs.
