Deshaun Watson publicly endorsed his new offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey on his podcast a few weeks back. Now he'll have the opportunity to meet him in person.

Speaking with the media at the NFL Combine on Wednesday, head coach Kevin Stefanski shared that he and Dorsey will go visit the Browns signal caller in Los Angeles next week. Watson has spent his offseason in the City of Angeles rehabbing from shoulder surgery to repair a fractured glenoid in his throwing shoulder.

"I know he's going to start throwing here shortly, Stefanski said. "He's hitting all his milestones. Ken and I are going to go out and see him and spend some time – not talk football – just catch up. Won't see him throw but just wanna check in on him. But I text him almost everyday so he's in a good place."

Stefanski made a point in emphasizing that they won't be talking football with Watson. NFL rules prohibit coaches from talking shop with players during this phase of the offseason. On Tuesday, general manager Andrew Berry also made it known that Watson will be begin throwing again in March, but he won't do that during this gathering. More than anything, the trip to the west coast is a chance to introduce Dorsey and Watson.

The Browns head man also continued to emphasize the collaborative effort that's taking place between he and Dorsey as they look to build an offense to Watson's liking, but still remained mum on the subject of who will call the plays next year. This meeting may also serve as an opportunity to pick his brain on any thoughts he has on the current shape of the roster before Berry dives head first into free agency in the coming weeks.

The hope for Cleveland is that Watson is able to participate fully by the time the team opens up their offseason program in April. Just how active he'll be remains to be seen.
