RB Kareem Hunt Updates Where he Stands on Signing With new Team

The former Cleveland Browns running back is likely not far off from finding his next team in the NFL.

Former Cleveland Browns running back Kareem Hunt remains a free agent as the end of June approaches. After spending four seasons with the Browns, Hunt is in search of his next NFL contract.

“Im just being patient,” Hunt said on Wednesday during his annual football camp. “I’ve had some things come up. But right now, I’m enjoying my time with my family. I’m training and working hard and just staying ready.

In terms of not having his next contract yet, Hunt is not alone in terms of well-known running backs. Ezekiel Elliott and Leonard Fournette remain out there as well.

“I’m not frustrated at all. It’s going to work itself out. Right now I’m just here to enjoy time with my family and show these kids a good time at this football camp. I know it’s all going to work out at the end of the day.”

During his four seasons with the Browns, Hunt rushed for 1,874 yards and had 973 receiving yards. This last year it appeared that Hunt lost a step as his yards per carry dropped by more than a yard to 3.8.

Cleveland is set to roll with Jerome Ford at this point but could add another body as training camp approaches. For Hunt, he may have to wait until close to training camp to sign with a team, he’s been in contact with at least one reported team.
