Thursday Injury Report Browns vs Bengals
The Cleveland Browns were back at practice on Thursday as the team continues its preparations for a critical season opener against the Cincinnati Bengals. Denzel Ward continues to trend in a positive direction after practicing for a second consecutive day in his recovery from a concussion. With the exception of Juan Thornhill who was downgraded from yesterday with an undisclosed calf injury, it appears that all players on our active roster should be ready to go.
It is a situation to monitor for starting safety Juan Thornhill. He did not practice at all with what is being listed as a calf injury. Offensive tackle Jack Conklin was also off to the side for what was explained as a rest day. Thornhill mysteriously popped up on yesterday's injury report as a limited participant with a calf designation. There has been no indication that his status could be in doubt for Sunday but Friday's practice is becoming more important.
Joel Bitonio and Amari Cooper were both back at practice after sitting out yesterday for rest and Alex Wright who continues to work his way back from a knee scope was limited again. Wide receiver Marquise Goodwin also seems to be progressing well in his recovery from blood clots.
The Bengals also look to be headed in at full strength with the only player who hasn't practiced all week is rotational edge rusher Joseph Ossai, who isn't expected to play in the game according to Bengals reporters.
