As part of their season preview coverage, Sports Illustrated's the MMQB team is Projecting the Top 100 Players From the 2023 NFL Season. They released players ranked 41-60 earlier today.

As we wrote about yesterday they already projected Browns cornerback Denzel Ward at number 65. Today, two more Cleveland Browns made their way on the list of top 100 players.

Browns left guard Joel Bitonio was projected at number 50 and running back Nick Chubb came in at number 46. They state that Chubb gets the glory in Cleveland, but Bitonio does his part by providing running lanes.

According to the article, Bitonio has a case for being considered the best guard in the league after consecutive first-team All-Pro selections to go along with five Pro Bowls. He will be playing in his 10th season this year and they apparently expect no dip in his play for the upcoming year.

For Chubb, the 46 ranking may be a little low on the list. He is widely considered the best pure rusher in football. Perhaps they are projecting his amount of carries to decrease due to the Browns new-look offense that will feature more passing. They recognized him for coming off a career year with over 1,500 yards and 12 touchdowns. He has also had four consecutive 1,000 yard seasons.

While you could argue about the ranking specifically for Chubb, it is nice to see the cornerstones of the Browns franchise being projected to have great years this upcoming season. For the team to fulfill its goals, it will need them both to have them.
