"Unbelievable Atmosphere:" Joe Flacco Describes Playing In Front Of Browns Fans
The story of Joe Flacco will be one that the Cleveland Browns fans will be telling for generations to come. He went from out of the NFL to leading an injury-riddled team to a playoff spot in a span of a month and a half.
Needless to say, Browns fans have quickly caught Flacco Fever. Cleveland's starting quarterback acknowledged the Dawg Pound's support following their win against the New York Jets on Thursday night to say just how influential the fans were.
"Unbelieve atmosphere. So yeah, to get it done in front of the home crowd, to actually get ourselves into that next step of the season definitely made it extra special."
Cleveland Browns Stadium certainly had a little extra buzz injected into it on Thursday night. Everyone knew what was on the line. If the Browns win then they'd clinch the playoffs, and that's exactly what they did.
The crowd also made sure to match the Browns' retro white uniforms pulling off a white-out of their own. It was a little odd to see the seats not filled with brown and orange like they usually are on Sundays, but it fit the night nonetheless.

Flacco certainly gave the fans something to cheer for. He threw for 309 yards, and three touchdowns and finished that rating of 121.2. Those are elite-level numbers for any quarterback, never mind one who's 38.
It's going to continue to be a tough road for the Browns as they navigate the playoffs with the injuries on their roster. But Flacco has proven himself to be a leader on and off the field which should make all Cleveland fans smile.
