WATCH: LeBron James Works Out With NFL Defensive Player of the Year & Cavs Minority Owner

Northeast Ohio native and Browns fan LeBron James completed a workout with Browns' defensive end Myles Garrett

Two things can be true at once. Yes, LeBron James left Cleveland in the dust twice by taking his talents to South Beach in 2010, leaving again in 2018 for the Los Angeles Lakers. He also is the greatest athlete in Cleveland sports history and continues to support Northeast Ohio.

His support doesn't stop with his charitable efforts though as he also supports Cleveland's pride and joy, the Browns. Earlier this week James took to Instagram to post a couple of videos of him and Browns' defensive end Myles Garrett getting a workout in together.

Garrett has had a pretty eventful month that started with him winning his first Defensive Player of the Year award and it ends with him in the gym with the King, LeBron James.

Garrett is on a similar quest that James led back in 2016. He is at the forefront of of finding a way to bring a championship back to the city of Cleveland.Β

When Garrett was the number one overall pick in 2017, he came to a broken organization that had just finished an 1-15 season. Things got even worse in his rookie year as they became just the second team in NFL history to go 0-16. As he enters year eight, he has been a part of the change in Cleveland and is the main reason why this franchise is now on a very different trajectory.

The challenge, however, is only getting larger. The Browns are seemingly hitting their stride when the AFC is at its strongest. The road to New Orleans in 2024 will have through Lamar Jackson in Baltimore, Josh Allen in Buffalo and, of course, Patrick Mahomes in Kansas City. Who could forget Joe Burrow just down route 71, who will return from injury to quarterback the Bengals this offseason. The AFC has never been stronger and the Browns will have to prove they're up for the challenge.

While plenty of people are doubting Cleveland going into next season, Cleveland isn't known for buying much into what outsiders are saying. Perahps Myles can channel some of LeBron's magic and bring the Lombardi to the shores of Lake Erie.
