Wednesday Official Injury Report for Browns-Ravens
The Cleveland Browns returned to the practice field Wednesday in Berea to begin practicing the game-plan for the Baltimore Ravens. The big news of the day was starting cornerback Greg Newsome returning to practice for the first time since suffering an elbow injury during the game against the Steelers in week two.
Deshaun Watson was officially limited in practice and wasn't throwing during the session of practice open to the media. His ailing shoulder won't be an issue for him playing on Sunday. Jerome Ford and James Hudson were also limited with their injuries.
The Browns gave veteran rest days to the usual vets that typically get them on Wednesday's.
Coming off an overtime loss at home to the Colts, the Ravens practiced today without seven key players. The Ravens have had some terrible injury luck with the amount of players who have already missed time this season.
Wide receivers Rashod Bateman who is dealing with a hamstring injury and Odell Beckham Jr. who injured his ankle in week 2 against Cincinnati and missed last week didn't practice. Running back Justice Hill was also unable to practice with a foot injury.
Edge rushers David Ojabo and Odafe Oweh both were sidelined with ankle injuries that they are both dealing with. The depth at edge will be a big issue if either of the two are unavailable.
In the secondary, they are still without cornerback Marlon Humphrey who had a foot surgery during the preseason but is expected to return soon. At safety Geno Stone didn't practice due to a rib injury and Kyle Hamilton was also idle at practice with a back injury.
It wasn't all bad news for the Ravens as the team welcomed left tackle Ronnie Stanley and center Tyler Linderbaum back to practice along with Gus Edwards and safety Marcus Williams.
