Week 14 Best Bets in Browns versus Jaguars
Cleveland and Jacksonville lock horns on Sunday in a matchup between two of the AFC's best teams. This game will have significant playoff implications for both teams.
The winner of this game sets themselves up for a playoff spot, the loser makes their road to the postseason much more difficult.
Sunday's game is going to be interesting for a number of reasons. The first is that we are still unsure of who is going to get the start for the Jaguars. All signs are pointing to Trevor Lawrence giving it a go, but even if he does start he will not be 100 percent.
For Cleveland, it will be Joe Flacco's first start at home as a Brown. Expect a big improvement from his first game which even then showed a ton of promise.
Although I am coming off of a two-and-three week and just one-and-two in normal bets, this week we will get back on track starting with Joe Flacco.
Joe Flacco OVER 204.5 Yards (-110)
The forecast early in the week called for an ugly weather game and that has since subsided. It will be dry on the lakefront on Sunday, although the winds will be whipping, expect the Browns' passing attack to get going, especially with a healthy Amari Cooper.
Amari Cooper Anytime Touchdown (+270)
This one is a bit of a Hail Mary. I think that Flacco is going to throw two touchdowns today and I think that this Jaguar secondary is not very good. It will either be Amari Cooper or Elijah Moore who finds the endzone. I'm giving you Cooper.
Travis Etienne OVER 58.5 Rushing Yards (-110)
Regardless of who plays quarterback for the Jaguars, they are not going to be at full strength. Since Chrisitan Kirk is not available, expect the Jaguars to try to find ways to run the football and do so behind their guy Travis Etienne.
Browns -1.5 (-110)
Get this line while it is hot! Trevor Lawrence is expected to play but will undergo tests on Sunday morning to determine his availability. If he can't go, this line will move significantly. If he can, the Browns still get it done on Sunday.
This week we get right and we get back on our winning ways.
